Tejas Web Teachers These are the currently active teachers and student teachers of Tejas Web, some of whom will be leading scheduled classes. Tejas Web currently sponsors teachers and student teachers primarily in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Austin Birch is an intuitive earth witch and recovering consumer. He finds his center in dance, hiking, yoga and cactus gardening. Cat Dancing has been a gypsy-witch-artist all her life and actively involved in the Tejas Web community for the last 8 years, as a teacher at the first Village Camp 2000 and in the Diana's Grove community as a "Mystery". She is dedicated to creating space and opportunity for children to learn magick. Cat Dancing believes that by supporting others in their growth and healing process she is helping to heal our world. She shares her passionate love of dancing, drumming, storytelling and the Wild places to Tejas Web witchcamp and classes. She lives in the wild country near Austin with her son Michael and three cats. She teaches about herbs, wild nature, occult esoterica, and the Crafty part of witchCraft. She gets to make potions and create spells on the spot at her herb witch shop, Natural Magic.Cedar lives a life in service to the green earth, revelry, and the Faery Queen. Julia has been working magic with the Reclaiming Community in Texas for over 5 years. A dedicated community contributor, she is a founding member of Austin Drum Sluts Anonymous, the Pentacle Study Group, Texas Feri, and the Tejas Web Samhain Witch Camp Organizing Cell, among others. Known for aspecting Maeve and her Wiccan sense of humor, her practice focuses on bringing magic and intention into every moment and joy and laughter to dull meetings. Juniper is a priestess, teacher, and initiated witch in the Reclaiming tradition. She weaves magical threads of what she holds to be sacred: the ecstatic and transformative power of Mystery; feminist political tradition; a commitment to this sweet planet; and a vision of justice that expresses itself in harmony with the sacredness of the soil, water, air, and all of life. She is a founding member of Tejas Web, the Reclaiming religious community in Austin, Texas. Laura Lea is an eclectic and intuitive witch grounded in the teachings and practices of Earth-based spirituality, Tibetan Buddhism, Tantra Yoga, and various other mystical and shamanic traditions. She is a spoken word artist, photographer, student in Philosophy and Anthropology, and always seeking new forms of expression and perception of the world. She is inspired by the animal and plant spirits she cares for at her home and loves to witness their unique processes of life. She actively cultivates creativity and wisdom in her life and art, and she nurtures within herself the change she wishes to see in the world. Lionheart is not just another Austin pagan dyke with an acoustic guitar and a social work degree. She loves Reclaiming's cauldron of creative ritual-making and social change. She teaches regularly in the Tejas Web community and has helped plan/priestess many local rituals. She has been part of the Organizing Cell of the Tejas Web Witch Camp for 8 years . Her passion for priestessing and teaching runs deep. She enjoys bringing dance, movement and sacred drama into her priestessing. She is proprietrix of the store Ancient Mysteries in Austin. Morgana has been teaching theatrical, magical, and ritual arts for more than 20 years. Her experience includes teaching at 11 Witchcamps in Texas, Germany, California, and British Columbia. As a teacher and organizer with Tejas Web, she teaches numerous classes, organizes witchcamps, and creates rituals in Austin, Texas. She is a Reclaiming initiate and studied Feri with Thorn Coyle. Morgana also co-founded and runs The VORTEX, a regional alternative theatre in Austin, Texas where she has produced nearly 250 shows over the past 18 years. She loves to sing, swim, and dance, and she frequently works with Dark Goddesses, Cats, and the Fae. Rain is an intuitive witch who brings humor and deep love of the Earth into her magic. She entered Wicca through the doorway of eco-feminism and has explored a diversity of magical paths. Rain gets dirty making mud pies and faery magic at creek beds and caves, and works extensively with Tarot, psychic healing and Earth spirituality. She has practiced and taught magic in the Reclaiming tradition for 9 years. Suzanne finds her magic in the beauty of the living earth, ecstatic movement/rhythm/stillness, the mysteries of labyrinth and pentacle, and the Faery realms. Wild places and the beings who live there call to her. She continues to deepen her long and loving relationship with the Tarot. Suzanne has worked in several craft traditions since the late 70's, beginning active Reclaiming practice in 1994 and helping to midwife the birth of Tejas Web. She taught at Avalon Camp in England in 2006, offers Tarot and magic classes for Tejas Web, and organizes and teaches at Tejas witch camps. Traci is witch, mother, actor, lover and fey. She works magic in the practical day to day by engaging in the deep art of shifting teenage chaos energy, honoring sacred sites in her urban neighborhood, picking up trash and expressing her belief that the earth is alive by biking to work each day. Traci has been growing in the Reclaiming tradition since her first Witch Camp in 2001 and was initiated into the tradition in 2006. She is active within the Tejas Web community, serves as an organizer for camp, assists in planning public rituals and completed a three year term on the international Witch Camp Council. Her daily practice is grounded in the connection to her ancestors of blood, spirits of place and the Feri tradition of Victor and Cora Anderson. Recently, she began co-developing a series of Urban Witch courses which she hopes will cultivate a sense of sacredness in the mundane and aide in building the vibrant, loving, and inspirational cities humanity is capable of. True to her name, she feels called to drill for spiritual experience in the places between charted territories, and her practice and teaching draw upon several traditions: Reclaiming, Feri, and esoteric Christianity (anthroposophy). She loves the consciousness she has developed and the ecstasy she has felt practicing magic. She gets a kick out of sharing her experience and co-creating new and powerful transformational magic in each class. WildCat often brings her three young children to public rituals, and was an enthusiastic participant in the Tejas Web Village Witch Camp in 2000. Z-Helene has been a witch all of her life. As a young child, she had a keen sense of Spirit and always got into trouble for telling theTruth. As an adult, she developed her talents as a dancer, drummer, actress, comedian and massage therapist. In 1996, she began to participate in Reclaiming rituals and camps. Last year, she taught at the Samhain Tejas Web Camp in central Texas and presently teaches Elements classes in Austin, TX. Z-Helene believes that Spirit comes from one pervading emanation and that wisdom and insight can be extracted from all religions. Houston Crow is by will, desire, and vocation a storyteller. Her magical practice includes fiction writing, harping, grounded mysticism, drinking too much coffee, and repeated viewing of television series created by Joss Whedon. She works in magical partnership with the Fae and is devoted to building and honoring alliances among Humans and Fae, redeeming her ancestors of blood through naming and changing old patterns, and exploring how the stories we tell ourselves and others act as spells. San Antonio Changing Tide is a water spirit and recovering academic who seeks to alter the course of energy now threatening the beauty and balance of the earth. She employs magic, creativity, spiritual scholarship, and Texas community witchcraft as her tools. Eclipse is a witch, priestess, counselor, gardener, and channeler of earth energy. She works to renew the earth through magic, recycling and composting and assists those that are injured in relationships and by acts of violence. MoonCrone is a witch, priestess, teacher, lesbian, and former academic librarian weaving the fabric of magic, social and environmental justice, and beauty from the threads of many communities (Tejas Web, RCG, and UU). She brings ritualist and divinatory skills, a love of working magic through the voice, and a psychic connection to the living earth.
